Campus RAG Assistant¶

This repository is distributed under the terms found in LICENSE (University of California "Regents" educational / research-use license). Commercial use requires an agreement with the UC Office of Technology Licensing (otl@berkeley.edu, http://ipira.berkeley.edu/industry-info).

Origin and authorship¶

Sandeep Markondiah Jayaprakash (https://github.com/sandeep-jay) was the sole implementation author of the upstream "Chabot" codebase (https://github.com/ets-berkeley-edu/chabot) while engaged with Berkeley Educational Technology Services. Copyright in that work is held by The Regents of the University of California, and that codebase is distributed under the LICENSE in this repository.

"Campus RAG Assistant" is an independent extension that Sandeep authored outside of that engagement, extending the upstream codebase with multicloud providers, a Vue SPA, LangGraph orchestration, streaming chat, Alembic migrations, tox/CI, and RAGAS + LangSmith evaluation. Because it builds on the upstream, the extension as a whole continues to be distributed under the same UC Regents LICENSE.
